Budgeting

We try to keep our budgeting simple. We use automatic payments on almost everything and use Dave Randy’s method of assigning every dollar a job to do. There are quite a few bloggers using this method. It makes you more aware of where your money is going. We keep an emergency fund but have found we need to put more in it. Our dogs recently proved that to us. We try not to have any debt but our house payment. Recently we found out emergency fund was inadequate when we had both dogs with vet bills. One

of our main goals has been to pay off debt and we have a plan where we pay extra each month. We seldom eat out because of my allergy to corn products so that helps us save money. We do occasionally order a Pizza Hut pizza. It provides us with three quick and easy meals. We also buy our beef from MyO Lean Beef a quarter beef at a time. It is Piedmontese beef which is very lean beef. When we see the cost of beef in the store we are glad we have a quarter beef in the freezer! We also have a garden and shop the local Farmer’s Market.
